“PATTERN OF LIVING: THANKSGIVING – Part III”

Ephesians 5: 19-20

"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; - Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ"

Brethren, there is need for us to understand the significance of thanksgiving in our Christian relationship with God. Thanksgiving should not be taken as a seasonal occasion in Christian living. Christians must cultivate the habit of giving thanks always as indicated by Paul the apostle in the above Bible verses.
‘Giving thanks always’  is a phrase indicating times, seasons and space; any where we find ourselves above the ground. Every season of the year gives room to be grateful to God. Can we imagine if we have summer or winter all the year round?  God is dynamic about the seasons He ordained for us. We should be thankful. For every season He also makes ways for us to live through the changing seasons. LORD, WE JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU!!!!
Not giving thanks is a sign of defeat by those who do not have understanding of basic thanksgiving.  They complain and murmur about everything always, instead of giving thanks always. Nothing satisfies ungrateful people, even when they have everything. They covet other people’s blessings and forget to thank God for theirs’. Be thankful and be contented with your blessings how ever small or big. God loves to bless us more, when we give Him thanks. Praise God.
