“IN EVERY THING”

1 Thessalonians 5:18-19

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit."

The Bible is always teaching us to be thankful in every thing, not just in some things. We should also be thankful everyday of our lives in every thing, because if man deserves your thanksgiving, God deserves more than thanksgiving! God deserves our adoration, worship, exaltation, praises and glorification of His Holy Name.

Giving thanks must not end with the season of thanksgiving. A thankful heart must continue and generate constant gratitude from the beginning of life, until this moment and of course, for the rest of life. No man can give life, talk less of eternal life. A fully thankful heart comes from a thankful Spirit and this is the will of God in Christ Jesus.

The main point today is that we should give more thanks on daily basis than just approach God with requests. The benefits and the blessings of God are already available in surplus. They cannot be exhausted, no matter how many people He allocates them. When you fulfill the will of God in giving thanks in everything, God is aware of His own part and He will fulfill His promises. These promises are new and renewed every day. God blesses us in different ways. He knows what we deserve more than ourselves. Let the Spirit and Culture of everyday thanksgiving continue in you. QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT OF THANKSGIVING!
