Ezra 7: 28
"And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me"
This is our month of Exceeding Grace in Amazing Grace Sanctuary and we are celebrating our season of Great Grace as we do every year. This year, it is from Thursday August 28-31 2014.
It was after 80 years that God used Zerubbabel to rebuild and restore the ruined Temples of Israel, still the people were not rebuilt and restored because many Kings were not leading the people to worship God until the reign of King Artaxerxes.
The time of King Artaxerxes coincided with the time that Prophet Ezra was raised. Let us refer to Ezra 7: 12 which says “Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace and at such a time.”
The timing, the kind of king on the throne, and the people, etc were all perfect for the restoration and rebuilding of the people. Why? Ezra was chosen among the numerous prophets, because his heart had been rightly prepared to seek God in earnest and do God’s will without deviation and God granted him EXTENDED MERCY before every one that was important and influential in the land. Extended mercy is like extended warranty/guaranty/assurance. Not as the world would offer, but by the extraordinary hands of God that break every barrier and protocol. Praise God!
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the day of extended mercy, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you most sincerely because of your mercy that is extended for my sake, in Jesus Name.
3) Almighty God, thank you for extending your mercy far and beyond man’s limit in my life, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, thank you for giving me more perfect timing because of your extended mercy, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, extend your mercy into all areas of my life, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, Help me not to deviate from the path of your extended mercy in Jesus Name.
7) Father, all I need is mercy extended into all that I do and touch in my life, in Jesus Name.
