“COVENANT BETWEEN GOD AND MAN” Part 1 : Friday May 11

Genesis 17:1-2

1) "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 2) And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

Every one God made has one or more covenant with God at some point in time and life. The covenant of Abram came when he was exactly ninety nine (99) years old. When God appeared to him, HE spoke three sentences to him as follow:

1) God introduced Himself to Abram. “I am the Almighty God. (That speaks volume).

2) Walk before me.

3) And be thou perfect.

Thereafter, God went ahead and made a promise of covenant between Himself and Abram. It was a covenant that God Had never pronounced with any mankind before. It was a customized covenant for Abram and the seeds after him.

As God expected Abram to keep his own side of his covenant so God expects us to keep our parts of the covenant. God said it and no turning back from it. We need to know that God is the Almighty God, All knowing God with whom absolutely nothing is impossible, especially when a divine covenant is involved. Praise God.

Prayer points for the day
