“YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” Part 1 : Tuesday March 26

Matthew 5:20

"For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of heaven."

The Scribes and the Pharisees are the writers and the custodians of the rule of law. They usually kept high standards according to the law. Everyone could see their outwards compliance with the rule of law, but not their hearts. They are set of disciplined people according to the standards of man, because of what they could see in them.

God Has standards set for us and not like those of man. HIS standards have not changed, but there is no way we can attain the standards of God based on our own strengths. We need the help of a Savior. We need help of the Holy Spirit. We need daily help not to break the law of God. Jesus complied in His life and Ministry and we need to comply to enjoy the purpose and plans of God for us. Amen.

Since we cannot measure up to the standards of God by our own will and strength. This should drive us to the cross at Calvary to draw hope from Jesus; who was commissioned to sustain our weaknesses, because no one breaks the law after the knowledge of God can get away with it. When you come closer to Jesus, it will be easy to keep the laws. Amen.
