“VICTORY AS AN ACT OF GOD”. Part 1 : Monday June 18

Psalms 20:7-8

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. 8) They are brought down and fallen : but we are risen, and stand upright."

Victory is always the sole act of God rather than the knowledge and the power of man. The above passages are referring to the prayers of King David after defeating the hosts of the Assyrian Army; whose forces had more of chariots and horsemen in those days. However, King David recorded victories over and over against all his enemies because the element of the act of God – Victory.

King David always remembered what God Had done in the past to face the present and the future. The God of Israel that Had been good to David in the past time is always good to him all the time especially when it came to the battle of the enemies. The Assyrians army built their hopes of victory on the chariots and tons of horsemen they possessed. Still, they were brought down.

Brethren, what do you build your hope of victory upon? Men, Money or Machines? None of these could bring everlasting victory. Let your hope of victory be on the Victory giver and creator not on the victory creature. No one and nothing can give victory like our God. Those that trust in Chariots and horsemen are always brought down. We must remember to call the name of the Lord in every battle for victory and we will stand upright in victory, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Prayer points for the day

1) Father, thank you for another day of victory, in Jesus Name.

2) Lord, thank you for victory over Satan, self and sin, in Jesus Name.
