“TRUSTING THE UNSTOPPABLE GOD” Part II : Tuesday March 14

2 Samuel 24:14

2 Samuel 24:14 KJV
“And David said unto Gad, I am in a strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for His mercies are great :and let me not fall into the hand of man.”
NKJV
“And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man”

David was a man that had absolute trust and confidence in the Lord. Why? because of the Lord’s great mercies; are new every day and every morning. King David enjoyed trusting the Lord, even in all his lifestyle errors. God always meted measures to match sins, but David knew how to make moves and key himself into the mercy soft spots of the Lord.

In verse 10, King David recorded that he had grossly sinned and prayed to God to take away the particular iniquity of taking military census foolishly!. Very few people in our generation would acknowledge their follies and humble themselves before God. David had a prophet Gad who was a spiritual check for David.

King David opened up to Gad in the situation he found himself. In great distress. What is going on today is capable of creating distress in no small way for us. The coronavirus has become a global consequences of our Godless lifestyles and marginalization of spiritual things. Every where is shut down. Schools included. Social distancing has become new normal. Work restrictions and staying home are what we are dealing with. Lord, let thy mercies that are great come to expression and fulfillment at this moment, in Jesus Name. Amen!!!
