2 Samuel 24:14

“And David said unto Gad, I am in a strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for His mercies are great :and let me not fall into the hand of man.”
“And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man”

Why was King David in great distress at this time of his life? He put himself in a situation contrary to what God wanted. God had given him series of victories without taking census of his military strength. He had been winning wars by the spiritual help from the Lord and not by numbers; meaning that he trusted God as at then.

This time, he took census and had numbers that looked good to him. He trusted in numbers than in the Lord that had been giving him victories over his enemies. God was not happy with him and he became distressed.

Brethren, the whole world is in great distress. This is the time to open up to God and cry for great mercies. Leadership is in distress, economy is failing. People are stressed and in serious distress ; but there is the God of heaven and earth who Have all the solutions in His Hands. Scientists are working round the clock, but there is the God that we can call upon in this distressed period. We need the great wind of great mercy to blow right now and blow away all the evil causes of our distress. (Coronavirus). Amen.
