“THY MERCIES’ SAKE” : Thursday July 13

Psalms 44:26

"Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake"

The Psalmists enjoyed life of unlimited mercy because he always asked God for it. It was by mercy that God considered him as a man after His own heart, because by all standards he did not deserve all the blessings, favors, etc. he received from God. Mercy played a major role in the enormity of Justice he could have received.

By mercy, we can receive the help of God. We can do all things by this same mercy. God is the father of mercy. He can give it to the worst offender and criminal. However, mercy is not a ticket to sin, rather it is a call to life of repentance, surrender and forgiveness. Mercy puts and end to evil and wickedness of the wicked.

Wherever mercy speaks, Justice is tempered down but not replaced. Justice cannot evade with mercy. Justice and truth go together. Again (TRP) Truth, Repentance and Peace are all friends of mercy. They go hand in hand. Judgement can be deferred because of mercy now, but it will be served if there is no proper divine covering. Seek God in earnest that no judgement will be deferred to your generation, in Jesus Name. Amen.
