Phil 3:13

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before"

Paul was teaching us to continue to look unto things ahead of us. The emphasis is that you have not reached your maximum potential yet. You have not accomplished what God has in planed for you. The fact that you are still alive is a means that God has much more in store for you. Though you have not yet made it to the mark, you are on the way.  No matter the level that you are now!

For some, things may not be going as expected, but you must keep prevailing! Keep trying, keep pressing forward, and keep progressing. Do not be discouraged and do not let stagnation get a hold of any area of your life especially your spiritual life and personal relationship with God.  Stagnancy is of the devil, because our God is dynamic God with high standards and an impressive resume of divine manifestations.

You may not be who want to be, but you are surely on the path and God is still working it all out for His glory. You may not be where you want to be, but keep striving! God has more in store for you in 2014. Despite what is going on right now as you are reading this devotional, God can never fail you. Keep the faith, and you will know that God is FAITHFUL!
