Ezra 8:31

Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month to go unto Jerusalem; and the hand of our God was upon us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from such as lay in wait by the way."

There is no hand that can touch, save and deliver like the hand of God. When His hands go to work; there will be blessings, deliverance, signs, wonders and miracles; they go from everlasting to everlasting. The hands of God work extra ordinarily and no one can stop or withhold Him.

Life is a journey : the difficulties and challenges may be along the way as with the life of prophet Ezra on assignment to restore the returnees from captivity and fulfill the essence of his destiny, but the hands of the Lord removed all the enemies that wanted to ambush him and his destiny.

What did this Ezra do to secure his deliverance by the mighty hands of God? He proclaimed serious fasting and prayers. Despite all the material support from the king, the prophet needed the extra support from God; divine support and plan that supersede whatever man can provide. The lesson to take away from today’s devotional is not to totally rely on man. Let God get your back in all things, because the hand of man can fail you and dis appoint, but the hand of God is sure to carry you through most difficult situations. Praise God!
