“EXTRAORDINARY TOUCH OF JESUS”

Luke 7: 13-14

"And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And He came and touched the bier; and they that bare him stood still. And He said , Young man, I say unto the, Arise.

Extra ordinary touch means to have extra ordinary contacts with, by physical, audio, visual and spiritual. The Bible passages above reveals one of the divine and extra ordinary touches of Jesus recorded to show that the touch by/of Jesus is far beyond the Midas touch; it is the touch that can heal and raise the dead.

The things that stood out in the passages are the fact that a widow had been afflicted by the death of her only son. She was experiencing a great deal of grieving by following the crowd to bury her only son. Her life had become a lost life in the ‘wilderness’. She had been weeping for a long time since the husband had died. Jesus met her unexpectedly and the heart of Jesus was touched to touch her situation. She did not seek out for Jesus, but Jesus saw her. Furthermore, the people carrying the bier stood still after the touch and Jesus spoke.

There is no situation too big or small for our Lord Jesus can touch and redeem. Jesus met the crowd and the afflicted woman and He had compassion about her loss. People were present witnessing her loss as if there was no hope of redemption; they also witnessed her miracle. Jesus met the woman at the point of her critical need and the people around stood still at the amazing divine and extra ordinary touch of her need. Who is that man/woman today that all hopes seem lost? There is good news for you. As Jesus met the needs of the widow of Nains’s son by touching and raising the dead son, you can experience the touch and the raise as well, in Jesus Name. Say a big Amen and Halleluyah!!!!!!
