“NOW WHEN JESUS WAS BORN?” Part II : Tuesday December 13

Matthew 2:1-3

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem. -
2) Saying, Where is He that is born King of Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."
3) When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and Jerusalem with him"

The birth of Jesus Christ was trouble to unbelievers, including Herod the king; but it was all joy to believers who were in need of the true living God. The birth came with season of miracles, signs and wonders, and divine visitation.

Zachariah, a long standing Priest was part of the glory. Elizabeth and Mary; in the same family were direct beneficiaries of the season. Joseph got the bunch of the deal and wanted to abort it but for divine intervention. The gift of the birth of Jesus was unspeakably adorable and full of surprises.

Jesus was at the center of the Christmas “conspiracy” as some huge Western Churches have termed it. However, Christmas is a real deal to make life of holiness and significance of believers of the gospel to be simple. Jesus was born by a virgin as prophesied by Prophets Isaiah and Micah. His birth was also prophesied to cause rising and falling of many in Israel. Let HIS birth cause you to rise and not to fall. There should be no excuses for us this season not to let the Glory of His light shine from the inside of us and our families. All the Christmas lights on the outside are good but the lights from the inside shine and remain eternally more glorious. Praise God.
