Exodus 34:7
"Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation."
The above passage could be sub- divided into five parts in view of its length and important relations to the issue of sin, mercy, Justice and indeed repentance. It is also, self explanatory, but still needs to be more simplified in explanation. May the Holy Spirit of the living God expand the meaning of His word to us, in Jesus Name. Amen.
‘Keeping mercy for thousands’ proves the eternal nature of God’s mercy for mankind. God knows our fallible and Adam’s nature of sins and Had planned mercy for us as part of His agenda. It was by His mercy that He did not allow Adam and Eve to become naked. His mercy is as old as Elohim and His Name; therefore, it cannot fade out. By mercy, your nakedness shall be covered in Jesus Name. Amen.
The primary purpose of His mercy is to call us out of our mess of transgression, iniquity and transgression. Not necessarily to punish us! Let us take advantage of this truth and take a second reality look at ourselves and repent before the day of Justice. Again, may I say unto us that, we are still living in the extended days of mercy and kindness of the Lord; where the foundation of the whole Bible is being watered down. We can no longer be hiding in the shade of darkness. The divine touch light of God is bright enough to search the inner most of our secrets. The Psalmist always prayed to God to me merciful and he got mercy. Ask for your own mercy today, in Jesus Name.
Prayer points for the day
1) Lord, thank you for keeping keeping your mercy for thousands of your mankind, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, thank you for your mercies that endureth for ever, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, thank you for counting me and my family amongst the thousands that you are keeping on your mercy agenda, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, by your unlimited mercy clear me and my family,
5) Lord, do not transfer judgement from my ancestors to my own head and family, in Jesus Name. Amen.
6) Lord, do not transfer my own judgement to my generations yet unborn, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, position me to enjoy your mercy till the end, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
