“I AM HE” – Part III

John 18: 6

"As soon as He had said unto them, I am He, they went backwards, and fell to the ground"

Just a brief recap of what happened briefly before Jesus spoke. The Bible passage above refers to the time Judas conspired and led the band of man and officers from the Chief Priests and Pharisees fully armed to ‘arrest’ Jesus.

“I am He” was a highly and potently anointed utterance from Jesus. It is a confirmation of who Jesus is. The three word statement fired unseen arrows to Judas and his co- hurts that they could not stand with their physical weapons of warfare. They drew backwards and fell to the ground.

Remember, in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ; Paul the Apostle confirms that For the weapons of warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds. Jesus presented Himself as operating under the authority of the Almighty God.

Our Lord Jesus Christ did not run away from the process of his sufferings, He went to introduce Himself. He knew that His purpose was to suffer as a Lamb of God here but to reign on the other side and come back the second time as the King of kings and judge the whole earth. Jesus is Lord. We must be prepared for His return. How would He meet us? Let us endure a little bit more, because the night is far spent and the day of the Lord is at hand. When Jesus speaks into any situation, however difficult it might look, there must be a divine solution. Amen.
