Philippians 2:16
"Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain."
Today is the last day of September, 2013. By HIS continuous and special grace, we will soon be in the new month of October and every hopeful Christian is expected to hold forth the word of life until the day of Christ. After his conversion, Paul the apostle was always living his life by holding forth the good news because he was hopeful that when Jesus finally comes that he would be considered as one of those that were tenaciously faithful.
This year has been very eventful for everyone; however we should be grateful to God for holding us forth until now. Not only in this world, but also in HIS word that gives us hope and life. There is life in the word of God, because it was the word that God used in all creation. The truth was set out in John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word…” If you notice the Word was in capital “W” because the passage was referring to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus was there even before the beginning with God, because vs. 2 of John says “The same was in the beginning with God’; the more reason we should relate more closely with Jesus. He is the heart and eyes of God. When you are with God, you will be able to hold forth the word of life. Life and light relate closely. When you are in the light you can be sure that you are in the word of God, which itself is life. We should hold on to Jesus in earnest, so as to be able to keep standing until HIS day finally comes. JESUS IS COMING BACK! Please note that the stage is well very set. Let all of us and our household be prepared. Will you all be ready with no one left behind?
Prayer points for the day
- 1) Father, thank you for holding me and my household until the end of this month, in Jesus Name.
- 2) Lord, thank you for the Word that has come forth with life, in Jesus Name.
- 3) Lord, I am forever grateful to witness the last day of this month in peace, in Jesus Name.
- 4) Father, thank you for your faithfulness upon me and my household, in Jesus Name.
- 5) Lord, I am thankful for the preservation f the household of God and the body of Christ, in Jesus Name.
- 6) Almighty God, I thank you for more promises of testimonies rolling into the body of Christ, in Jesus Name.
- 7) Lord, let me and my household outlive this day and indeed this year in perfect peace, in Jesus Name.
- 8) Father, before the end of this year 2013, let me have victory, that people will know that you are the only one behind it, in Jesus Name.
- 9) Lord, let me keep growing in grace and with grace to witness the good news of Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.
- 10) Father, keep to be part of those that will witness the day of Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.
