2 Tim. 1:9
"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given in Christ Jesus before the world began."
God has His own purpose and He gave us power of purpose to live our lives. However, grace is of the Lord. It is entirely divine. Grace is given according to whom God wants to give grace. No man has any input in the works and blessing of grace.
According to the teaching of salvation by brother Paul, no works (good or bad) can lead to salvation, other than the grace of God. Going further, any gift we have is by grace of God. The life we have and live should be according to the purpose, plan and grace of God. Any lifestyle outside these three principles is exposed to the dangers of the wicked.
A life not totally surrendered is outside the loop of God’s purpose and grace. Such life cannot have divine assurance of Jesus who has the master key to eternal life. What is more important to you in life determines how you prioritize your fellowship with Jesus. Again, God has plans for your life and His grace will push HIS plans and purpose through. Jeremiah 29:11 is the confirmation. Please reference this Bible passage at your spare time. The token of divine rainbow is still available for you as you read this morning. No matter how grievous life has battered you, there is hope in Christ Jesus. Be consistent, open to HIS words. He is the source of the unfailing and unfading hope of life. PRAISE HIM.
