“HIGH MOUNTAIN APART”

Matthew 17:1

"And after six days Jesus taketh Peter James and John his brother and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart"

Thanks be to JESUS for the message above. Why? Because it is a blessed revelation. Peter, James, and John were the closest apostles to Jesus and He always separated them out of the initial multitude and particularly out of the twelve for special assignments. Even until this generation, these three apostles still reflect the message of Jesus more powerfully than others.

At this time, Jesus had to take the three to a high mountain apart to see more of the glory of the Lord. The glory on the high mountain is better than the glory in the Valley. There is a reason for being in the valley and a reason for being on the high mountain. The valley is a common place and anybody can remain and stay in the valley, but the high mountain is a special place, set apart from the crowd. It is a place of divine encounter; it is always a place of extra ordinary experience with Jesus. It is a place where Jesus always went to have special commune with God The Father.

Personal fellowship with Jesus is a high mountain apart, for solely attending church will not suffice. You need to spend time with God while being away from the multitude. You need not to belong to the valley. Victory is always assured on the mountain, not in the valley. A closer relationship with God is “mountain apart”. Having quiet family time with the Lord is a “mountain apart”. Special prayer time popularly called “ALONE WITH GOD” in the Church is “mountain apart”. Anywhere Jesus is, there is always divine encounter. However, whenever God is taken out, Jesus is out and the Holy Spirit is out. And because there is no vacuum in nature, the void where God/Holy Spirit use to be is where evil takes over. Be set apart for Jesus in the spiritual realm and you will experience divine encounter.
