“GIVING THANKS BEFORE YOUR GOD”. Part 1 : Tuesday November 8

Daniel 6:10

"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house ; and his windows being open in his chamber towards Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did afore time."

There is nothing that prayer cannot do. Daniel was a man full of prayers and thanks in his life. He found himself in Babylon where they did not take God serious. The life in Babylon favored many that followed idols, but Daniel stood out in place of prayer and thanks to God always. How do we know that? Because the Bible says so in the above Bible verse. Please read it again.

On what basis do we give thanks before our God? Is it when we see others give thanks or whenever we receive blessings from God? May be when we feel that God is good to us? When we receive promotion? When we are blessed by people and God? What is it that activates your giving thanks to God in your lives as Christians?

Daniel was living in Babylon and he thrived in the place of prayers and thanksgivings on daily basis. He life was soaked in the power of prayer and thanksgiving. He did not compromise with the spirit of Babylon. He stood firm and indeed out with the power of prayer and thanksgiving consistently. Brethren, it is time we developed such thanks – living life like Daniel. He made prayer and thanksgiving his lifestyle and he thrived in the harsh conditions of Babylon. AMEN!!!!
