Ezra 7:6

"This Ezra went up from Babylon, and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him"

The help that is of man/woman is not guaranteed to profit much. No man/woman can help you beyond his/her limited resources. When the help is organized by God Almighty, it will be beyond all limits and it will be with divine speed. That was exactly what happened to this Prophet Ezra we have been reading from a few days ago now.

First, the help came for the Prophet because his interest was purely for God and secondary for the people. The King of the land also discerned the fact that the Prophet may not be known in the city, but God can use him to accomplish the re-gathering and encouragement of God’s people. He was not only zealous to see revival back in the city; he was also able to seek the face of God for the growth and the good of the remnants and escapee from the Babylonian captivity.

These are some of the details of the helping hands of God that no man can give. 1) All the supplies the Prophet needed were from the King’s treasure. 2) The help came by for the Prophet speedily without hindrance. 3) The blessing from the help was beyond measure and limits 4) God supplied able bodied and quality men to help. 5) The supplies were available without prescribing how much needed. 6) The prophet began to experience surplus. 7) The king was all out to deal with any one that hindered Prophet Ezra. 8) The helping hands of God open the national King’s treasury in an extra ordinary way to an ordinary small prophet. 9) The surplus left after the official conclusion of the mission was left in the hands of Ezra to use the way he wanted. 10) Overall, God extended unprecedented and exceeding mercy to the Prophet. All this, simply because there is extra ordinary touch of God upon his life – Praise God!
