Acts 9:3-4
"And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?"
We are still looking at the kind of special encounter that Saul of Tarsus experienced on his journey from Jerusalem to Damascus. His plans were wicked for the Jews and indeed the Apostles. He threatened them so much that they all went underground. Saul even got the backing of the authorities in Jerusalem to deal with the followers of Jesus, but he was stopped by a divine encounter and even became one of the greatest apostles we ever heard of in our generation.
May the power of divine encounter not only stop your adversaries but also convert them for your sake in Jesus Name. Amen. Saul did not need tons of sermons, teachings to get the attention of heaven. All he needed was an encounter; and that changed the cause of his destiny. He was turned from a murderer to a missionary. Once again, may God encounter with all your adversaries this month, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Saul not only fell to the ground, but he had a voice from heaven that questioned him! The voice was directed to him alone. Encounter is always towards an individual, a group of people or to a nation. This time it was for Saul. The Bible made us to know that the people around him heard the voice but saw no one speaking, but Saul must have heard and seen the one speaking to him, because it was an encounter meant for him. He was the one to address the onslaught and so must have such an encounter. May the heavens address and encounter every terror in our generation in Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for another grace of sleeping to wake up in peace in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for divine encounter over all that concerns me in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, arise and let all my sins have encounter with forgiveness and mercy, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, let all my adversaries begin to hear your voice of encounter, in Jesus Name.
5) Lord, let every crisis in my life have encounter with heaven, in Jesus Name.
6) Almighty God, let me have a personal encounter with you that will change my destiny for good for ever, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, my eyes are unto you for a special divine encounter that will bring special miracle to me and my family, in Jesus Name. Amen.
