“A BETTER COVENANT”

Hebrews 8:6

"But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises"

The passage above is a revelation that the new covenant is better than the old. Better in the forms of all physical and spiritual promises. God’s idea of both covenants was to put man on a better path of life, in relationship with eternity, but man missed the plans and messed up with the old covenant.

The prophets in the Old Testament bible days did all they could to retract the direction man headed to no avail, hence the advent of the New Testament. However, event proved God right about man. Man broke the purpose and plans of God for the old covenant and He had to replace it with a new one that no one can break.

The new covenant is unbreakable because the power of the blood of Jesus was involved. The old covenant was broken because the blood involved was of the animal that cannot be compared with the blood of the Son of the most high God. This year let the new covenant speak louder than the old covenant in your life. Whatever any one does in the house of God represents a ministry in the eyes of God. Let Jesus be at the center of your life this New Year 2014.  He is the mediator of the better covenant. You need to experience Jesus in the real sense to avail yourselves of the better covenant. PRAISE GOD.

Prayer points for the day

• 1) Lord, thank you for giving me all it takes to be in your presence throughout this year, in Jesus Name.
• 2) Father, thank you for giving us the new covenant, in Jesus Name.
• 3) Father, thank you for the journey thus far into the new year 2014, in Jesus Name.
• 4) Lord, thank you for giving me and my household victory over the power of darkness, in Jesus Name.
• 5) Father, thank you for the vision and provision of excellent ministry, in Jesus Name.
• 6) Almighty God, let this year 2014, be the year of my better covenant, in Jesus Name.
• 7) Father, let this new year speak uncommon favors into my life, in Jesus Name.
