“YEA, THEY TURNED BACK”. Part1 : Tuesday September 6

Psalms 78:41

"Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel"

“Yea”, is an expression of surprise by the Psalmist of how the people of God, who experienced direct power of God in every sign and wonder ; on daily basis could turn their back against God?

You can read the whole of Psalms chapter 78 for full details. It however contains only the part of the records of the abundance of the power of God in moving the people from one destruction, danger, oppression of their enemies, providing for all their needs, to freedom, yet they could not see God and God.

How do we perceive God today, that we are not in the desert or wilderness? We tempt God in so many ways, knowingly and unknowingly. We find it easy not to co operate with the plans and purpose of God, because of His Grace. We provoke God in ways suitable for us without consideration for God.

This is the time to stage a come back to God. Jesus Had been given to us in our own generation. Seek HIM in truth and in earnest. Jesus does not turn back from us: we are the ones that turn back from Jesus. Every day we live is another chance to make a bold U turn back to Jesus. He does not want us to perish in our iniquities. Will some one say “Yes Lord” to his call today? Let that someone be you. Amen.
