“WITH JOYFUL LIPS” : Friday November 29

Psalms 63:5

“My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips”

It is incredibly unbelievable that somebody could engage the power of thanksgiving even in the wilderness experience. A deeper study of the above psalms reveals that David was in the wilderness of Judah when he had the thoughts of giving God all the praise. He was in the wilderness and yet believed God for satisfaction and protection. He expressed his love and confidence in his creator.

The verse 4 of the same chapter says “Thus will I bless the Lord while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy Name” then the verse 5. One can imagine what he was passing through in that dangerous wilderness. “While I live” connotes ; no matter what is going on, I will bless the name of the Lord. He engaged God to provoke his provision and safety with gratitude and God responded beyond his supplications. There was no where in the Bible that David ever lacked the presence, provisions and blessings of God. Why? It was because he trusted his whole life with God, with thanksgiving.

With the lips of joy today, brethren let us start praising God with quality praise and worship. God is readily receptive to our praises. Let your lips become joyful for the Lord and Lord that inhabits the praise of His people shall come forth for thee, in Jesus Name. Amen. Praise the Lord.
