“UNSTOPPABLE GLORY”. Part VII: Friday January 10

Hosea 4:7

“As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.”

“As they”. Who are these then? Biblically, they were the Kings, Priests, Congregation of the time of Prophet Hosea. These people were small but God increased them so that no captivity would arise against them. Who are these today? We are. Every one in any leadership position who is striving to have increase for his/her group. Also, every follower looking for increase and others ( people ) in the group seeking for increase.

“Were increased”. This is increase in spirit and physical. They had power, riches, influence and honor etc. Also, they were going higher and stronger. God enlarged everything about His people. They experienced real increase.

“So they sinned against me” God noticed the actions of His people that He Had increased. They started to sin in no small measures and God was displeased. Sin increased as they grew in their wealth, power and honor. The people turned God’s providence into sins and God reacted.

Brethren, let us reason together on the (3) three sub titles above. Is God at fault at all to increase His people by taking them out of poverty and stagnation? The answer is “NO” When we are blessed, it is the glory of God handed over to us and we must honor God with the blessing. By so doing, the glory is upheld and shame will be far away from us. Deuteronomy 8:18 confirms that God is the ONE that brings us to the increase of wealth. To be continued……
