Isaiah 59:21
"As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and forever."
As we read this series, I pray that you will not only feel the Spirit of the Lord, you will allow the Spirit to be active in all areas of your life, in Jesus Name.
The very end of this passage is an indicator that there will the covenant that will be everlasting. We have gotten the Old and now the New. The old has its relevance in the new regardless how man’s choice made God to give us the New. I love the New Covenant because it came with a lot of Grace, Mercy, Favor, Forgiveness, Blessing etc, than the old one.
The first covenant purpose here is that the Spirit of the Lord is freely available for us. It is upon us. At creation, we are a part of dust and a part of the Spirit of God to be able to make a whole human being. It was with the Spirit of God that we are all made.
What happened to the Spirit of God in our lives? In the same book of Isaiah verse 19, it was revealed that God utilized the Spirit to lift up a standard against the flood rush of the enemy. This is the same Spirit. Before taking a decision, do we consult the Spirit of God in us or we consult our own spirit that flesh has overpowered? What do we do now? Please let your desires and emotions be secondary to the Spirit that God Has declared upon us. Make the Spirit of God your primary consultant.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, I thank you for your Spirit that you have placed upon my life, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, I appreciate your Spirit working in and out for my life in Jesus Name.
3) Father, thank you for the power of your Spirit lifted against all my adversaries, in Jesus Name
4) Father, let your Spirit continue to grow in all areas of my life, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, let me continue to live under your Spirit on daily basis, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, let your Spirit back me up till eternity in Jesus Name.
7) Almighty God, give me the grace not to kill your spirit in my life, in Jesus Name.
