Matthew 2:11
" And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense, myrrh."
The Bible passage above is referring to the wise men who saw the Star from the East. They first of all travelled to Jerusalem looking for the King of Glory – Jesus. They had to travel from Jerusalem to Bethlehem of Judea where Jesus was born. The wise men had of the prophecy and they were eager to meet with Jesus.
There was no car or bus to travel. These wise men had to walk quite some miles to get to Jesus. They wanted to be part of the great joy and history. They were desperate to see Jesus and worship Him. They were led by the Glorious Star of stars and they were on target. Any one that follows the Star of Bethlehem – (Jesus) shall never go astray.
The star was ahead of them shining day and night leading the wise men to where Jesus was laid. Mary the mother was with Jesus but Joseph was not mentioned when the wise men arrived the manger. Where was Joseph? Could be somewhere around looking for somethings to provide for the family!! Jesus a King ; baby was worshipped, because He was sent to carry the load and the punishment of the whole world. He is worth of our worship for all He did for us. Take a decision to worship Him (Jesus) in Spirit and truth as we approach this new year and it shall be well with you. AMEN.
Prayer points for the day
1) Lord, thank you for working out with me and family till the end of this year, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, thank you for giving me another light of the day, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, as I enter this New Year with my family, let us enter in Spirit and truth, in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, thank you for the unspeakable gift that you have given to save us from sins and reproach, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, as you went ahead of me in 2016, go ahead of me in 2017, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, carry me and my family upon your wings of favor into the New Year 2017, in Jesus Name.
7) Almighty God, let this New Year 2017 speak uncommon blessings into every area of my life and family, in Jesus Name. Amen.
