“THE WORD”

Exodus 14:12

"Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians? than that we should die in the wilderness."

The words that we speak go a long way to shape and re-shape our world and indeed our destiny. The people of Israel faced some inconveniences after receiving the free manna from heaven but remained unsatisfied with anything that God did for them thereafter. They consistently complained and never wanted to follow Moses.

As a result they began speaking negatively, unknowingly speaking bad things into their future. They spoke against all the efforts of Moses. They became aggravated and wished themselves to remain permanent servants in Egypt and wished themselves dead in the wilderness. My people of God let us learn from this, it is difficult to take back words spoken into existence.

God is never surprised about your conditions of affliction and trouble, they are temporary. God has given us Jesus to help us bear such circumstances just as God gave the people of old prophets to be a liaison between Himself and His people. There are both the angels of the Lord and angels of the devil around us to capture our moods and utterances. Whatever we say is picked up in the realm of the spiritual and begins to manifest in our lives. Those that pro – claimed death in the wilderness actually died in the wildness and did not make it to the Canaan land. Pro – claim good things for yourself and good will follow. PRAISE GOD!
