“THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE”. Part 1: Wednesday April 1

John 11:25-26

KJV
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. 26) And whosoever liveth and beliveth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
NKJV
“Jesus said unto her, “ I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26) And whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?

First of all, let us start with the Biblical meaning of “ resurrection”. Resurrection simply means raising up or rising up from the dead. Going further, death to believers is a transition to continue with Jesus where (Jesus) He Has prepared for us. However, the above Bible passages are direct words of Jesus addressing the dead in Christ and the living in Christ. It will be noticed that Jesus addressed further those still alive and living in HIM – Jesus. Those that believed and are dead, shall yet live, and those that are living and believing in Jesus shall never die ; but have life in eternity after death. Amen.

The passages also affirm that for those that believed in Jesus and have died shall be raised up. That is, there will be life after death, leading to separation of believers and unbelievers; hence Jesus asked if we believe His words above. The unbelieving believers will be separated from the Resurrection and the life.

Brethren, the people reading this devotional today are presumed to be alive and believing in Christ. That is, they believe in His virgin miracle birth, mission, death, resurrection and life. If not, let all the readers make a renewed determination and declaration to stand strong till the end for the sake of their eternal salvation, in believing in HIM. Amen.
