“THE REASON FOR THE SEASON- JESUS”. Part 1 : Friday December 1

John 3:16-17

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life.
17) For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved"

The center piece of Christmas season is the unspeakable love of God to give His only begotten Son – JESUS in exchange for our whole mess. Jesus was not just another child born. He is the begotten Son of God. Jesus was precious to God; still, He was sent forth in the midst of the crisis. To give us peace. God is the Father of peace and Jesus the Prince.

The birth of Jesus Christ was meant to bring peace to the world and eventually resolve the world in peace. In short, Jesus was born for the benefits of the world and for us not to perish. God saw how the devil had come to deceive and deform the world and the need to reform His people. The intension of God was to make peace with the birth of Jesus and His life.

Christmas should not be only a time to exchange gifts and visits, it must be a period of time for Brethren to re examine themselves and purge from sins and all unrighteousness. This will make the birth and mission of Jesus not be in vain. Remember, Jesus is the Prince of Peace for our sakes. Jesus loves you and I ; as much as God the father loves us.
