Revelations 3:8

"I know thy works: behold I have set before thee an open door and no man can shut it; for thou hast a little strength , and hast kept my word, and hast not deny my name"

Doors open and shut. When God opens, no power in heaven and earth can shut; and when God shuts no power in heaven and earth can open. There will be a time that the door is opened and there will be a time that the door will be shut.

Though, it was a parable, it has it’s own place in teaching the Christians the truth that God Himself shut down the door on the virgins that were not prepared for the end. These virgins were as wise as the five that made it in with the “LORD” but they lack the final grace in preparation and readiness; hence they were denied entrance to go in.

As the works of the Philadelphia church were noticed by the Lord, as referenced in Revelation 3:7, so HE is paying attention to our works. Everything you do in and out of the church represent work unto the Lord. Remember that JESUS wants us to do greater works. All our works will be tested. Be conscious of how you carry out your works both in the secular and in the spiritual realm. If man does not remember to open the door of reward; God that speaks of open doors shall open your perfect door for you. Check out how God would perceive thy works. It matters to opening or closing of the door. God that opens the door knows the right door and timing to open the door not man. Praise God.

Prayer points for the day

1) Father, thank you for opening the great door for me and my family, in Jesus Name.

2) Lord, insert your Name at the door which I need to enter, in Jesus Name.

3) Father, let me begin to find the right door to enter, in Jesus Name.

4) Lord, do not let me enter the wrong door again in my life, in Jesus Name.

5) Lord, by your power, take me out of any wrong door I have entered in any ways, in Jesus Name.

6) Father, shut every door of opposition and failure this month, in Jesus Name.

7) Lord, open to me my own door and let me continue to fond pastures under your direction, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Have a blessed and wonderful day!
