”THE ANGELIC VISITATION” Part 1: Friday July 24

Acts 12:7

NLT
“Then the angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And he did. “Now put on your coat and follow me,” the angel ordered.”

NKJV
“Then the angel said to him, Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “ Put on your garment and follow me”.

Whenever there is an angelic visitation there is a voice and it is for a specific purpose. In the Bible passage above, Apostle Peter was under arrest, but God visited him and put his arresters to shame. Herod and his workers were disgraced by divine visitation that led to the rescue of Peter; who was ready for the worse because of the precedence of Apostle James.

Peter was not prepared for his day of divine visitation and we are not sure whether he personally prayed for his own release, but the church interceded in prayers for him. What played out in the process of Peter was that the prayers of the church were
able to provoke the day of his divine visitation.

The plan and purpose of the Lord for Peter was fulfilled by the specific angelic visitation. Peter was not ready at the time of the visitation, but the angel assigned to his release did all the preparations for him. The angel completed the process as Peter was still in the sleeping mood. The angel gave instructions to follow and Peter did. Are you able to discern your own day of angelic visitation? He is coming for that situation that tied you down. Be prepared for the completion of that process which God Has assigned to you. Amen!
