TEMPERANCE – SELF CONTROL” – Final Part

Galatians 5:23

"Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

There is need for self-control/temperance in all things that we do as Christians. No law or decree is against such and we cannot do this without subjection to the will of God. Meekness and temperance are complementary, because if you are meek and not temperance that will amount to pretense and such is unacceptable to God.

Do you realize that Meekness and temperance are some of the nature that God wants us to display in dealing with ourselves? A meek and temperate person is a Godly person that God can use and trust tremendously with His power. When God trusts you, man will also trust you. Our example is Jesus Christ, who was rusted by God in/with all things. He was full of the fruit of the Holy Spirit all the way, even unto death.

As Christians, we cannot be too meek or temperance. In actual fact, we need all the meekness and temperate we can be. They cannot be in excess, but can be too low. A Christian of low meekness and temperance may end up being a “violent exploder” or a “slow burner” and lose “self-control”. None of these characters is acceptable to God. Be real, because God is real. We need to follow the footsteps of Jesus and live with Godly meekness and temperance that do not pretend. God knows the pretenders and those that are real. Work on your temperament in order to avoid present and eternal damnation. As you read this today; begin a spiritual check up on yourselves and know where you need Jesus to step in. He is always ready to help us achieve eternal and spiritual goal that our professions cannot. JESUS is the answer to meekness and self-control. Praise God.
