“TAKE UP YOUR CROSS”. Part II : Wednesday April 5

Matthew 16:24

"Then said Jesus unto His disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

Master Jesus took HIS cross with its attendant pains in order to do the will of God the Father in heaven. Taking up your cross like Jesus; and whatever the pain just to do the will of God. When you carry your cross; you are taking stand for the sake of obedience to God, no matter the cost.

Luke 14:27 says “And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.” It means that, it is possible for some to actually bear their cross and still not come after Jesus. They are the ones that the Bible refers to as having a form of godliness and still denying and denting the power.

What ever represent your cross, stand to carry it/them. The cross might be heavy, but Jesus carried it to Calvary. He did not give the cross up half way. He took it all the way to Calvary. He did not point accusing fingers. He did not refuse the cross, even though He called the Father to waive it. Bear that cross. Is it your job, your son or daughter? wife or husband? Whatever? With that cross; God is not unaware of the weight of the cross. Carry it to the end and there is guarantee of victory, in Jesus Name. Amen.
