“STIRRING UP GIFT/GRACE OF GOD” Part 1 : Friday July 9

2 Timothy 1:6

"Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting my hands."

“Stir up” stands out in the above Bible passage. Also, one cannot overlook the importance of the gift of God; which is the same thing as the grace of God. Ephesians 2:8 refers “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” This reference is necessary to link the gift of God with the grace of God, which can be used interchangeably.

Any blessings; spiritual or physical given to us should not be allowed to remain idle, or else it may not express the purpose for which it is given. To stir it up means to activate it. To move it on or higher from the point it has been given. Grace received not stirred up might become dormant and eventually wasted.

The extent of which grace of God relates and finds expression in your life depends on how well you can stir it. One thing is to have grace and another thing is to step up in that grace. Grace of God works well for those who work well with it. You cannot have grace of God and sit on it. Stir it up so as to work for you. Amen.

Prayer points for the day

2) Father, your grace will not be wasted in my life, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, let your grace find expression of success and greatness in my life, in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, give me the ability to stir up all the gifts you have released upon my life, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, let the power of grace deliver me from all hands of the wicked, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, I will not take for granted the grace given to me, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, let grace work for me according to the desire of my heart, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Have a blessed and wonderful day!
