“SHEW FORTH MY PRAISE”

Isaiah 43:21

"This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise"

The children of Israel were not praising HIM enough for all the benefits showered upon them to the point that God had to inform His children of His plans and purposes in order for them to show forth praise to HIM. Through this we can see that it is unfortunate when people of God, especially those showered with God’s favor, take the blessings of God for granted.

God appreciates and honors the praise of His people, and as such in the Bible passage above HE had to remind the Israelites to show forth praise. When we praise God, He appreciates, adores, and is compelled by it. In some occasion  praise goes farther and deeper than prayers, a perfect example of this is the story of Paul and Silas!

No matter what situation you may be going through, you are blessed for there is no one that has not received blessings from God (e.g. your alive and able to read this and the list of things we take for granted goes on). However there are many that do not acknowledge the receipt of God’s abundant blessings. This is unfortunate because it hinders our ability to praise and appreciate God. Ironically such people always want more without praising God for what has already been done. The lesson today is to thank God for what we have and in an act of faith thank Him in advance for what we do not have but are expecting . Show forth praise at all times and in all situations and be sure that God will do something new in your life!

Prayer points for the day

  • 1) Lord, give me the grace to praise you all the time, in Jesus Name.
  • 2) Lord, forgive me and my household all the sins of my covetousness, in Jesus Name.
  • 3) Lord, let me remember all you have and constantly do for me and my household, so we can praise you all the time, in Jesus name.
  • 4) Father, put your praise in my heart and mouth, in Jesus  Name.
  • 5) Lord, before the end of this month, let me have something new to praise your Name, in Jesus name.
  • 6) Father, do something new in my household so that we would praise you anew, in Jesus Name.
  • 7) Lord, remove every form of weariness from my life and let me praise you 24/7, in Jesus name.

Have a blessed and wonderful day!
