Luke 24:49

"And behold I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

There is no man/ woman in any position of power without God. When man puts man into power and God does not approve it, such power does not last, except God is in it.

Power from on High is divine and is given to those that would manage it properly to the glory of the giver and purpose of mankind. There is a time to receive power and there is a time to utilize the power. No one can utilize the power he/she does not have. Power acquired by force or in hurry lacks the blessing of tarrying. The real power comes from on high and has the backing of the Holy Spirit and such powers are well utilized.

All powers belong to God. Psalm 62:11 confirms it that “God Hath spoken once; twice have I heard this that power belongeth unto God” People of the world turn to strange “gods” for power and this has negative effects on them and their generation yet unborn. Power from on high takes you to higher ground and authority. It was the promise of the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ for us, but we need to tarry like the Apostles were instructed. Tarry means patience regardless all other things that may come our way. The Kingdom of God supersedes all things.
