“POSSESSING YOUR POSSESSIONS” Final : Friday December 5

Obadiah vs. 17

"But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions."

This final reflection on this passage continues on the holiness aspect of the topic. Holiness comes primarily by our determination and followed by the mercy and the Spirit of God. To posses our possessions is not a problem to God, the problem is with us in the area of deliverance and holiness. Holiness comes with many things we can sacrifice and God does not forget whatever you and I will sacrifice to be holy.

As we want to posses our possessions, God is looking at what we can sacrifice. Remember what Paul wrote in Roman 12:1 ; virtually begging us by the mercy of the Lord, to present our bodies as living sacrifice and how God values it as reasonable service. Whatever is valued comes by what we can sacrifice. Check the people that sacrifice and sanctify themselves to be holy, they never lack in the spiritual and physical realms.

Though the people of Israel returned to their land to posses the land for their possession, they refused to returned to God. We sacrifice our days, weeks, months and even years to satisfy our life desires for success, but find it difficult to sacrifice for God. The value of success we have in life is determined by the extent of sacrifice we can offer. Holiness has an important role to posses our possessions. You can build your “Mount Zion” around your life. Let every where you appear be “upon mount Zion”, for deliverance and holiness to be able to posses your possession. Amen.
