“OUT OF HEAVEN”. Part 1: Monday October 12

Genesis 22:11 & 15

11) “And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
15) And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham our of heaven the second time.”

Whenever a voice is released out of heaven, God is always up to something powerfully strange, involving and provoking. The above passages are recorded at the time that Abraham was tested in faith by God to sacrifice Isaac his only son. All the surrounding circumstances are appropriate for Abraham to give excuses, but heaven open to back him up.

Some of the excuses are 1) Abraham and Sarah were very old in age. 2) Ishmael, another son of Abraham had just been sent out of the house with Hagar the bonds woman her mother. 3) Both Abraham and Sarah had become older and would not be probably be able to have another child without further God’s intervention etc; and there are many reasons.

The main point is that the power of God opens heaven and voice out of heaven came forth to speak to the faithfulness of Abraham regarding the sacrifice of Isaac. It was Abraham’s faithfulness that provoked the voice out of heaven for Abraham and his blessing went overdrive and overflow. Can your faithfulness reach that awesome level to open your heaven? Whatever is your test will be the source of your open heaven if you are faithful. Amen.
