Hosea 13:4
"Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shall know no god but me: for there is no savior beside me."
The silent years were about 400 years and the people did not listen to the prophets or God. In the process, God was preparing the birth of Jesus Christ for the purpose of salvation for the dying world. From the land of Egypt during their captivity and bondage, God remained with them. However, after their process of freedom from Egypt was completed, many turned their allegiance away from God to their molten images of silver and idols according to their understanding.
God did not have to re-introduce Himself in the lives of His people (Israelites) as their Savior. He had done undeniable signs and wonders they witnessed. Unspeakable miracles of victories. Uncommon healing for them. As today’s Christians: we should not get to the point of the ungrateful Israelites for God to make Himself renown to us. We should refrain from all things that can cause God to be quiet. We cannot afford God to be quiet on us for a moment. God is our Savior in Jesus Christ. He still retains His promises. His words are YE and AMEN! He is not man, and always prepared to redeem us from the power of darkness. PRAISE HIM!!!!
