“LOVE IS A ‘WEAPON'” IT SUFFERETH LONG”. Part 1 : Thursday February 25

I Corinthians 13: 4

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,"

Love is one of the greatest “weapons” given by God. God Himself is Love and love is God. It is weapon to defeat the ills of satan and self. Therefore, love must not be misused. It must not be used to take advantage of others.

If one possess all other gifts and lack the gift of love the verse 2 of the above chapter confirms such a person as nothing. Love amounts to part of who and what you are. Love can make or mar the purpose of a man/woman. Love suffereth long means love is patient and not always in contention or contempt. When you love you give allowance for flexibility not rigidity. Flexibility accommodates and is part of the process of love. Rigidity draws lines you cannot cross. It creates fear in some cases and it discourages love to be promoted in a free atmosphere.

Love that is rigid will soon blow out. It is a matter of time. Do not get me wrong; love can discipline, it can correct but not ever be in any dictate mode. Relax, love is a process of suffering long. God gives another chance because of love. He does not want any sinner to perish. Just confess and repent, and begin to apply the tool of love with patience to the glory of God. Remember that love goes extra mile ( in suffering long ) and does not tear down the glory of God in any mankind. Praise God. Amen.
