Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find ; knock and it shall be opened unto you: - For every one that asketh receiveth ; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
Why do people not ask God directly? Hopefully, not because of pride, may be because they do not know how to ask! . Daniel 9:3 – 4 Says” And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes : And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and make confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love HIM, and to them that keep His commandments”
The key point to note is setting your face on the Lord your God, will help to seek and put you in the place of divine solution; to remember and keep His commandments. Daniel was desperate when it comes to the place of prayer. He concentrated on the only ONE he called “the Lord my God”. A place of intensive prayer attracts the attention of God quickly.
Confession is another critical point to always put before God when you are in the place of knocking. You cannot be knocking with doubts in your heart, if the door shall open or not. if the caliber of Daniel can take confession seriously, we should as well. Confession is a self reminder of the importance of holiness and the need not to sin anymore. It helps to cleanse your hearts and hands; and put you in proper perception of whose you are. Ask, seek and knock for the right door and it shall be opened unto you, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you most sincerely for the door of all Grace you are opening for me, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, open unto me and my household the door that no man can shut and shut the door that need to be shut in my life that no man can open, in Jesus Name.
3) Almighty God, let my confession place me in a position of total grace, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, as this month of March is going to an end, open a great and fervent door unto me, in Jesus Name. Amen.
5) Lord, make a way for me where there seems to be no way this week, this month and indeed this year, in Jesus Name. Amen.
6) Father, let every instrument of adversary be frustrated when you open my door for me, in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, I am asking, seeking and knocking for the door of your help to open for me and my family before the end of this month, in Jesus Name. Amen .
