“INSEPARABLE LOVE” (SHALL SWORD?) Final Part : Thursday February 18

Romans 8:35

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

This is the final of the series “INSEPARABLE LOVE”. Apostle Paul experienced tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril and sword in life. He had all the reasons to throw in the towel, but for one thing; THE LOVE OF CHRIST. When you feel like that, always remember the overwhelming love that Jesus demonstrated towards you and I, especially on the cross.

Sword is used for defense or offense. However, the context in the above passage tilts toward offense, but Paul, did not allow the swinging of the sword to stop his loving Christ. A psalm of King David thought us that the spear of God is strong than the sword of the adversary. He said in Psalms 35:3 asking the Lord to “Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation”

As Paul made a bold statement to the Romans; you and I can make such statement today to friends and families and others ; that “Who and what shall take away the love of Christ from us? ” Be determined and resolute that you are a majority with Christ. HE had a conquering anointing and Spirit. When we have Jesus in earnest, we invariably have all He Has. Praise God.
