“I THANK GOD”. Part 1 : Monday November 27

2 TIMOTHY 1:3

"I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience , that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;"

There is a security guard I know who is called a nick name “I THANK GOD” and up till now I have not been able to know or check why he answers such an “aka”. This is a unique name to answer and people all around call him “I THANK GOD”. I sincerely believe that this young man really have somethings to answer “I THANK GOD”.

“I THANK GOD” seems to be the language of one who has suffered in life and now making a head way. It could also be the language of someone going through a rough season, but believing God in advance and personalizing gratitude in anticipation of what only God can do. This young security guard knows the spiritual force behind giving thanks. He is just like Paul the Apostle, who trusted God in both seasons of abundance and abeyance. Giving thanks is powerful.

We are still in the seasons of thanksgiving/thanks living and God can still look at your direction to surprise you if you can just express gratitude for what you have and who you are. Let your thanksgiving flow even into your future. Paul was in the habit of giving thanks from the days of his forefathers and never stopping. What is your thanksgiving life like? Let it be consistent. Stop it not. Paul’s was “I thank God” the young security guard adopted same. Create your own thanksgiving slogan this season, because our God is always pleased with thankful hearts. My own thanksgiving is “TO GOD BE THE GLORY” What is yours? Create one today.
