“HAVE YE RECEIVED?” : Tuesday January 23

Acts 19:2

"He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost."

The above passage was when Paul the Apostle met some disciples in verse 1 and asked them if they had received Holy Ghost/Spirit. The gift of the Holy Ghost/Spirit is what believers received normally and ordinarily after conversion. This was the same Spirit that Paul Himself encountered with Jesus on his way to Damascus in Acts Chapter 9.

The response “We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.” from the disciples was surprising. They had not so much as heard? It supposed they had somehow heard, but they never paid much attention to know the import of the Holy Ghost/Spirit. It is impossible to possess what you do not even know that exists for you! It sounds like a television program called “Strange inheritance”. It was right there with you but lying waste.

To posses and use the gift of the Holy Ghost/Spirit, we as believers must know that it exists and available for us to use. The power of the Holy Ghost/Spirit is for our possession to enjoy and use. We must not only carry the Holy Ghost/Spirit, we must also display and demonstrate the leading and guidance of the power it contains.

Prayer points for the day

2) Lord, thank you for the light of another day, in your presence, in Jesus Name.

3) Father, thank you for daily cleaning from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet, in Jesus Name.

4) Lord, let me continue to carry and activate the power of the Holy Ghost/Spirit in my life, in Jesus Name.

5) Abba Father, no matter what, do not let me lose my possessions, in Jesus Name. Amen.

6) Father, lead me to locate every where my possession may be, in Jesus Name.

7) Lord, take me through every obstacles and barriers so that I can reach my goal, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen

Have a blessed and wonderful day!
