“GIFT OF UNSTOPPABLE LOVE”. Part 1: Monday February 3

1 Corinthians 13:1 NKJV

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.”

What is love? There are so many Biblical and scholastic definitions of love, but the one given today will be made simple. “Love is a deliberate and benevolent disposition of our hearts toward fellow human beings ; especially members of “household of faith.” The emphasis on members of “household of faith“ is necessary because there is an adage that says “ Charity/love should begin at home. That means that it is not limited to home front, but to external front as well.

Love is a gift and it is the first listed in the fruit of the Spirit. There must be a willing giver and a willing receiver. We must be ready to give love and do not expect to receive love back from the recipient. We must also be ready to receive love when it is offered to us. Love is necessary alongside all other qualities of life we have. The Bible passage above makes us to understand that “everything minus love is equal to nothing; but nothing plus love is equal to everything.

Jesus was sent to us mainly out of love for the whole world. He became a “pouring” of divine love unspeakable and unstoppable. Not all the world have received the gift of Jesus. The love source is real and unstoppable. It was given to us as a covenant of the New Testament and it is for our taking. The gift of this love makes the recipient to seek His grace. Will you say yes to HIS unstoppable love today?

Prayer points for the day

1) Father, thank you most sincerely for opening our eyes to your unstoppable love, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for your love so much that is overflowing and unstoppable, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, thank you for exposition of love so much unstoppable, in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, thank you for not making me a clanging cymbal, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, give me the grace to offer love unstoppable, in Jesus Name.
6) Father, I will not become a sounding brass that is meaningless, in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, add unto me your kind nature of love, in Jesus Name. Amen.
