DIVINE INTERVENTION BY JESUS” Final Part : Wednesday September 13

Matthew 17:27

"Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, an cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shall find a piece of money, that take and give unto them for me and thee"

Jesus is the center piece of this message. When Jesus is involved, there is always a way out. You have peace of mind with Jesus around the affairs of your life, rather than man. Jesus is known as the Prince of peace, HE always dealt peacefully with people not to cause any offenses.

Jesus might have chosen not to pay the tribute, but He rather paid than be the source of offense or controversy to any one. Another lesson from this devotional was that Peter followed the instruction of Jesus to go right away to the sea and catch fish and that the very first fish would be the source of solution to paying the tribute. Peter did not argue with Jesus. He complied and the tribute was paid accordingly.

Under the umbrella of Jesus, there shall be no embarrassment. If Jesus intervened there will be a way out to breakthrough. Not just catching the fish but opening its mouth will make a difference; to find the exact money needed to pay the tribute. No one can embarrass the very source of divine intervention (JESUS). Since money is not capable of embarrassing our Lord Jesus, it should not have power to embarrass us as the followers of Jesus. The intervention of Jesus was on time and the situation was put under control. AMEN!!!
