1 Samuel 17:34-35
"And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock. 35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth : and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard , and smote him, and slew him"
For David to defend the flock is to defend his destiny. You have the right and privilege to defend what is yours. Like Jesus laid down his life for our salvation, and He ultimately fulfilled His destiny. David also risked his life for the flock and the Israelites to fulfill his destiny.
The enemies of God are also the enemies of our destinies. They do not want us to fulfill God’s purposes and plans. David knew that the same God that delivered him from the lions and bears will also deliver him from the Philistine’s champion who stood against the destiny of the people of God.
In any seemingly difficult circumstances ; always look back and remember how God had made a way out of troubles for you. If God rescued you in the past, HE can also rescue you for the future. Shake off the thoughts that will make you to lose or miss your destiny. Your destiny is worth fighting for. Life is too short, but destiny is too big for any one to mess it up. Fight with the spiritual resources of God, because you may not be able to fight in the physical. David put the spiritual first and applied just one stone in the physical in order to get his Goliath down and out. There was a power that drove victory for David from the realm of the spirit. Praise God.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for allowing me and family to see this 20th day in the month of this new year 2017, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, thank you for the day in which you have made in our Jerusalem, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, thank you for giving me victory over every sin of my destiny, in Jesus Name.
4) Almighty God, deliver me from every hand and mouth of the Goliath of my enemy, in Jesus Name.
5) Almighty God, fight everything and anything that represent Goliath ahead of my destiny, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, take me into the realm of the spirit to fight every battle, in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, grant me victory over every war and battle that precede my destiny, in Jesus Name. Amen.
