“BY DIVINE INTERVENTION- HIS CHAINS FELL OFF HIS HANDS” Part V: Wednesday May 13

Acts 12:7

“Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, (Peter) and a light shone in the prison; and he (the angel) struck Peter on the side and raised him ( Peter) up, saying “Arise quickly!” And his (Peter) chains fell off his (Peter’s) hands.”

Peter life could be said to be lived in the way of “Divine Intervention”, especially the in the matter things played out for him when he was arrested by king Herod. Was he expecting the deliverance he eventually got out of the hands of king Herod? Whether he did or not, God intervened for Peter when he was abandoned in the prison, but because God was thinking about him, the church gathered to intercede for him.

The gates and the iron doors kept his friends and colleagues away from Peter, but could not stop the angel of God from coming in to rescue Peter. Remember, our theme for the year 2020 “THE UNSTOPPABLE GOD”. Herod with his military power could not stop only one angel. Imagine if God had sent several angels? What would have happened to the whole prison? The angel brought light that lighted the prison to show the way out for Peter with the angel ahead of him.

If any man/woman or child of God stumbles, but trusted in the Lord, there is the light of divine intervention that has been prepared ready to shine and lift him/her up. Peter rested in the Lord ; though tied down, probably in much pain, but the light shined to free him. I may not know how much pain someone is going through and for how long? There is the God of divine intervention that will step into that situation, in Jesus Name. The light of freedom will shine for someone who believes in divine intervention. Amen.
