“BE YE NOT”

Ephesians 5:7- 8

"Be ye not therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord; walk as children of light.

The above passage is a reminder of who we were before receiving Christ into our lives. Before our new lives in Christ, we were blind in the darkness of the world. The actions and attitudes of the world always come short of the Kingdom’s glory so we must pray to avoid imitating the things that belittle the greatness of God in our lives.

The attitude of  “when in Rome, do as Romans do” is a mantra of the world that is full of darkness. We are to be the light in the dark which is in desperate need of who will bring light before the coming back of Jesus. Remember, your little light shines that much brighter even in the massive darkness!

Christians always say we need the grace to not fall into the rut in which the world operates. Yes. It is true, we have a role to play, because the Bible says we should not be partakers with them. One example, Christians these days no longer dress in a way that glorifies our Lord because we have adopted the styles of the world. Be ye not. – Whenever we are lured into the things of the world, call on the Spirit of Jesus to prevail. We should not adopt the standards of the world for they contradict the Kingdom standards. You and I must be different and pray to imitate that which Jesus would do in all situations.

Prayer points for the day

• 1) Lord, I thank you for the gift of another day, in Jesus Name.
• 2) Father, I thank you for keeping the land safe for us, in Jesus Name.
• 3) Lord, make a way for me in my wilderness, in Jesus Name.
• 4) Almighty God, give me the grace to go your way all ways in my life, in Jesus Name.
• 5) Father, let this month speak unspeakable joy into my life and entire household, in Jesus Name.
• 6) Lord, I call upon you to begin something new in my life for your glory, in Jesus Name.
• 7) Lord, my life is in your hands, deliver me and my household form the rod of the wickedness, in Jesus Name.
• 8) Lord, let my miracles locate me this month, in Jesus Name.
• 9) Father, do not allow my stars to fight against my destiny, in Jesus Name. Amen.
